City of Arlington Parks Director

James Orloski joined the city of Arlington as Director of Parks and Recreation in 2022. James has over 15 years of experience in state and local government. He previously served as Deputy Parks and Recreation Director for the city of Phoenix in Arizona, and also held roles in the City Manager’s Office, City Council Office and City Clerk Department for the city of Phoenix. James has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and a Master of Business Administration from the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He and his wife, Cate, a physician at John Peter Smith Hospital, love calling the DFW area home and enjoy traveling, cooking, hiking and biking, going to concerts and spoiling their two dogs in their free time.
