Arlington Board of Realators
My name is Taylor Oldroyd and I am a long-time member of what President Theodore Roosevelt called “the fellowship of the doers.” I love staying active and being outdoors -- from golfing and camping to running trails and rural roads -- I love being outside creating memories with my family.
I currently serve as the CEO of the Arlington Board of REALTORS® and am dedicated to protecting property rights and promoting the wise use of the land. I am proud of my work to protect the land and the right to own property and enjoy homeownership, which I view as fundamental to the economic prosperity of America. I have enjoyed serving real estate professionals for 12 years in Texas, North Carolina, Montana and Utah. Previously, I promoted rural businesses and natural resource conservation while serving in the Bush administration in several positions at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) as a political appointee.
My wife Meredith and I are the proud parents of six children: Jefferson, Liberty, Starly, Abigail, Quincy, and Lincoln. My clan, like President Roosevelt’s, are rambunctious “doers.” President Roosevelt stated that “all who have known really happy family lives . . . have known . . . the greatest happiness which there can be on this earth.”
