Webb Elementary students go through the Scholastic Book Fair and select one book to take home. Volunteers help students write their name in the book. Our club pays for all the books and a Rotary sticker is placed inside the front cover. Volunteers can work 1, 2, 3 hours or all day, but please sign up by emailing Jason Roach at jroach21@gmail.com

Rotary Club of Arlington is the largest and oldest Rotary Club in Arlington, dating back over 100 years of service to the Arlington Community. Over the years the Club has fostered and supported many great causes. The Club has now established an inaugural Charity fundraising event "Dancing with the Arlington Stars!" that will be held on May 6, 2024 at Texas Live! This event will benefit a minimum of 11 local Charities annually! The event will showcase 10 Celebrity Dancers who, with their partners, will entertain us all while raising money for Charities!
The inaugural group of Dancers and the charities they will be dancing for are:
Georgie Zang - Mission Arlington
Cara Hackley - Open Arms Health Clinic
Noelle Slater - Hagar's Heart
Valerie Landry - Taste Project
Bethany Tinderholt - Arlington Police Foundation
Jeff Williams - United Way and Medal of Honor Museum
Derrick Kinney - Arlington Life Shelter
Kenyon Godwin - Arlington Urban Ministries
David Cook - Salvation Army
Jim Ross - Arlington Charities
The Rotary Club of Arlington will also use funding to support our adopted Title One school, Webb Elementary. and will give grants to other charities with remaining net proceeds from the event. All charities will be fully vetted and must be a 501 c 3 Charity to be eligible. 100% of the net proceeds will go to charity as we have no overhead- only volunteers.
Each Celebrity Dancer will be raising money with a portion of the proceeds going to their "Charity of Choice". "Votes" will be in the form of sponsorships, ticket sales and donations.

Texas Ramp Project
May 16, 2024
The Texas Ramp Project builds wheelchair ramps for older adults and others with mobility issues who can’t afford to buy one. In a few hours on a Saturday morning, we give these folks the freedom to leave their home again—the home where they want to remain but whose steps have imprisoned them. https://texasramps.org/
